Biography

Prof. Zhensen Gao is a Research Professor in the School of Information Engineering in Guangdong University of Technology. He has completed his Ph.D. from Heriot-Watt University in Edinburgh, UK in 2011. He was affiliated with the Nokia Bell Labs as a Research Scientist during for six years, where he was responsible for the next generation optical access network research in the Fixed Access Network Group. In 2019, he was promoted as a special professor in Guangdong. His current research activities include secure optical communication, high speed optical transmission, synchronization systems and optical signal processing. He is the author or coauthor of more than 60 peer-reviewed papers in the international prestigious journals and conferences. Prof. Gao holds more 20 inventions including 3 US issued patents. He is a regular reviewer for the OSA/IEEE related photonics journals.
